Annapolis man stabbed by son dies
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WBFF)– A 22-year-old man accused of fatally stabbing his father has been arrested not too far away from the scene of the crime, police say.
Leobardo Jolalpha-Ramirez left the scene before police arrived but was later was picked up by police just a few blocks away near the intersection of Great Bay Avenue and Annapolis Walk Drive.
The stabbing incident happened on Atwater Drive near Great Bay Avenue about 2:45 a.m. Saturday morning.
Annapolis police said officers found the father Martin Jolalpa-Vazquez, 44, of Annapolis bleeding profusely from at least one stab wound. Jolalpa-Vazquez was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center, where he later died.
Leobardo Jolalpa-Ramirez remains in custody at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond. He is being charged with reckless endangerment, possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, manslaughter and first and second degree murder.
