Boy, 11, rescued after being trapped in a Baltimore County hole
EMS Lieutenant Tim Rostkowski said a technical rescue team used a rope attached with a harness to pull the boy out of the hole Sunday night. The whole ordeal took approximately 45 minutes.
Officials also say that a second boy, also 11-years-old was able to pull himself out of the hole to flag down someone.
“As I was leaving a kid comes up to me and he’s gushing blood. He’s all dirty, full of mud and everything else. He’s running up waiving me down,” said Mike Gartside a witness.
Both children were taken to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics Hospital for medical treatment. They are listed in serious but stable condition.
Police and fire are conducting a full investigation into what happened and how.
This is a developing story.
