Brooklyn walk-in shooting victim dies

BALTIMORE (WBFF) – Police are investigating what led up to a shooting that took the life of 24-year-old Jenna Manuel Saturday evening. The victim walked into Harbor Hospital bleeding, and later succumbed to her injuries.

In a statement released by police, they were called to the hospital for a walk-in shooting victim at approximately 3:28 p.m. Arriving officers found Jenna Manuel suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the chest. Hospital staff treated her, but she passed away several hours later.

Detectives were able to determine that the woman was shot while in her vehicle on Maude Avenue near 6th Street in South Baltimore. They believe that an unknown suspect in a brown or maroon Honda, got out and fired several shots from outside of their vehicle towards Manuel. That vehicle fled the scene shortly after.

Homicide detectives are still trying to gain witness statements. Anyone with information about this shooting is encouraged to call 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-LOCKUP.
