Dru Hill releases first song in 5 years, referencing to Freddie Gray

BALTIMORE (WBFF)– This isn’t the first song released by a popular musical artist as a tribute to the death of Freddie Gray, a man who died while in police custody prompting international attention.

The new song, “Change,” by Dru Hill features Sisqo, Nokio, Jazz and Tao. The male group hasn’t released a song together since their last CD offering title InDrupendence.

The group was most popular in the late 1990’s with a strong connection to Baltimore. The name Dru Hill comes from Druid Hill a park in West Baltimore, just a short distance from where riots erupted in April.

In the short two-minute clip also referenced Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown all African-American men who have died at the hands of police.
