ABINGDON, Md. (WBFF)– The cause of a fire at a McDonald’s restaurant in Harford County is under investigation.
Units from the Abingdon Fire Company were called to the 1300 block of Riverside Parkway around 5 p.m. on a report of a building fire at an area McDonald’s with visible fire and smoke showing.
Upon entry, crews were faced with heavy fire in the interior. Within 15 minutes fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze and prevented the fire from spreading throughout the structure.
Fortunately no one was injured in the accident.
In a statement released by fire officials, they said that they believe that the fire started in the cooking area.
The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
