Police: One dead in Laurel motel double shooting, victims ID’d
LAUREL, Md. (WBFF) – A murder investigation is underway after a double shooting took place at the Turf Motel in Howard County.
The victims, Derick DeAnthony Henrdson, 33, of Washington, D.C., whom is listed in critical condition, was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Amanda Diane Duer, 29, of La Plata, succumbed to her injuries at the Laurel Regional Hospital shortly after her arrival.
Their bodies were discovered after a report of two people shot at about 4:30 a.m. on Washington Boulevard at Whiskey Bottom Road.
The Howard County police suggest that the victims may have known the person who shot them.
No further information is available at this time, an investigation into the double shooting is ongoing.
